
Phoenix is proud to announce that BRUNO, starring Diarmaid Murtagh and Woody Norman (Co-star of C’MON C’MON) is out on release with Bulldog Film Distributors from Monday 13th of December 2021 on all VOD platforms and selected cinemas in the UK.
The film is a beautiful British Indie movie directed by Karl Golden and is the story of A homeless man searching for his lost dog who forges an unexpected bond with a young boy who is lost in London and is set over a 24 hour period. Crisis has also got behind the film. It will make you cry, it will make you laugh and most importantly it will make you think!
The Story:
Daniel is a man without a home. Following a tragedy, he left his wife and drifted into life on the street. His sole companion is a dog called Bruno. After Daniel is assaulted one night, Bruno goes missing. As Daniel searches for him, he finds Izzy, a boy who has run away from home. Over a single day and night, Daniel and Izzy search the streets of London for Bruno. Forming an emotional bond in the face of danger. Each step of their journey taking them closer to home and offering the possibility of redemption. It is a deeply poignant film about today’s society and mental illness with beautiful performances by Diarmaid Murtagh and Woody Norman, (‘Silent Witness’, ‘Him’, ‘Troy: Fall of a City’, ‘Peter and Wendy’, ‘The War Of The Worlds’, ‘Les Miserables’, ‘Poldark’,’The White Princess’, and in 2017 he played Benedict Cumberbatch’s son in ‘The Current War). His most recent film, currently in post Production, is ‘C’mon C’mon’ in which he plays opposite Joaquin Phoenix.
